WEEK 4: Greetings from Bdahzeeoo!

Image
Greetings from Bdahzeeoo! (that's basically how it's pronounced here) Pretty good week! Here's the rundown: TUESDAY Ola! Today was pretty average. After class Elder Warnick and I & some of the brazilian elders going to Japan did some impromptu singing in the hallway. It actually didn't sound too shabby. It's cool because hardly anyone speaks English but they know like every word to English pop songs and they LOVE Ed Sheeran. So we sang a bunch of that. WEDNESDAY Today was Pday. We got new roommates. Still recovering from losing Elder Batista haha but the new guys seem cool. They're kinda shy. For Pday my district and I played a whole bunch of volleyball with some friends that leave next week and then had some Acai with Irmao Vianna. Acai is so dang good especially in Brazil. Irmao Vianna is pretty musical tool so he played his guitar and we sang some songs. A few passerbys on the street stopped and listened haha Oh yeah also on the way to the...

WEEK 3: Elder Uchtdorf came to the MTC

MONDAY Today we did companion exchanges to teach a lesson. I was paired with two really neat Elders. One of them will be at BYU with me when I get back. We taught an entire 15 minute lesson entirely in Portuguese. Not much else happened today except for emails. They gave us a little extra time which was soooo nice. Made a world of difference. Oh also Elder Nielsen accidentally dropped his fruit snacks out the window. So much stuff falls out of them into this lil garden that we cant get into. So theres literally a small pile of pens, books, fruit snacks and a beloved backpack-hanger knob just chillin' in the ground floor garden. TUESDAY Today was one of my favorite days. We went to the Sao Paulo temple in the morning. Its BEAUTIFUL. I"ll send a picture of it when I leave the MTC. On the way home my companion Elder Warnick and I had a 40 min convo with the bus driver. He was so nice and we found out a lot about him. I LOVE Brazilians. He told us about how he's been...

Campinas Temple pictures! Hey everyone! This week was great. I'm getting pretty used to the MTC. Starting to really like the most (Well most of it). Here's a lil week-rundown. (Sorry its sorta long haha) TUESDAY Today was GREAT because I got to write home. Sorry if I didn't respond to some emails I didn't have like any time. We only have 50 minutes to go through all our emails and write home so I didn't get to some of them. I love all the messages!Checking email is definitely my favorite part of the day. When I meet people here they think I'm Brazilian. They think I look like a native. I guess I'm flattered haha. I can't wait til I'm fluent and I can fully convince people. Apparently when I speak Port I sound like I'm from Portugal. My teacher says I have some kind of Spanish accent. Tomorrow we finally get to leave the MTC. It's P-day so we get to walk around the streets and do a little shopping. We are going to...
