WEEK 25: Inviting *Everyone* to Church

Oi tudo mundo, bem-vindo a Brasil... TUESDAY So there's this fella that we always run into in the street and every time he sees us he follows us for forever... to our appointments and everything haha. He kind of has some sort of mental issue and it's nearly impossible to understand what he's saying or why he always follows us around. Today I was getting a little frustrated because we were trying to get work done but he kept talking to us and wouldn't leave us alone, so finally I just asked if there was something we could help him with. He wasn't really talking coherently but he mentioned something like he wanted us to visit his family, so I told him we'll go ahead and cancel our current appointment and follow him to his relative's house. So we did and actually met two really cool families we're gonna start teaching. The guy is actually pretty nice. WEEK 24: Elder Ruy

Oi gente, WEDNESDAY The training has begun. I've been feeling mostly overwhelmed, and I think I'm learning more by training someone than I ever did while being trained. I didn't realize how well I knew the language until now, when I have to direct almost every part of our daily life. I've definitely had divine help while speaking. In just three days my Portuguese has gotten where it needs to be to be able to express everything I need to and train a new missionary. Today one of the little gangs of kids that we always talk to chatted with us today, and after we talked for a bit I turned to my companion and said "vamos la" (let's go?) and all the kids thought I was talking to them so they said "VAMOS!!" (LET'S GO!) and started walking with us to our next appointment lol. They just kept following us and asking us questions about English and the States for forever. The kids here are hilarious.
