WEEK 34: I`m Famous...?

Looots of pics yall. If a picture´s worth a thousand words this is my longest email yet

TUESDAY
We went to a family`s house we`ve been teaching for a while now and the mom said she talked with the dad and said they`ve decided to get married in their own church and ultimately stop investigating the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I said that`s all fine and dandy or whatever but I went ahead and gave them a lesson to clarify baptism and authority, making it clear that a baptism unlike how Christ was baptized isn`t what He mandated. We retaught the Restoration again and tried to be as simple and clear as possible and it seems like they understand now. It got really powerful toward the end and I really poured my heart out. We planned to come back for another visit on Thursday and they`re excited about church this Sunday.

WEDNESDAY
Today Elder Franca and I saw a little crash happen right outside president Viana`s house. Two motorbikes hit each other. As far as I know everyone was alright but it happened right as school got out so there were mobs of kids that stood around watching.

We found a really cool family to teach but it stinks because Elder Franca and I are leaving real soon. The dad seemed really chill and down-to-earth. The family had something reaaaally really sad happen to them recently, I think it`s too dark to include in here, but I`m amazed at how well they seem to be working through it. I wish I could stay around here to help and get to know them.

THURSDAY
Today was zone conference. It`s always fun meeting up with a bunch of missionaries for conferences like these.

Plans are set for Araguaina, our new area that we`re opening for the Brasilia mission. We`ll be taking a bus at 9am and meeting the Teresina missionaries there. They`ll show us the ropes. It`ll be interesting because we don`t have a phone or air conditioning in this new area. So we`ll see how this goes lol hopefully someone will at least give us bikes: Our area covers five cities so that`d be a huge blessing.

FRIDAY
Well. Turns out I`m famous now on Facebook. Remember when I ate that huge burger? Well the owner posted about it on Facebook and it went VIRAL lol. People from different parts of Brazil kept screenshotting and sharing it haha. A bunch of different brazilian meme accounts posted it too. Idk how that happened but I thought it was funny. The whole mission knows about it now haha even President.

ALSO HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKS AND BRAXTON. My little bros turned 15 today.

SATURDAY
Just rode the bus all day to get to Araguaina. I actually enjoy bus rides tho so it was great.
We met the Teresina missionariess we`ll be staying with. Their names are Elder Amado & Elder W Silva. They`re super cool. Just the experience alone of staying with other missionaries from a different mission is pretty dang cool enough.

SUNDAY
Today we had church in the branch building here. President Cooper (Brasilia mission) and President Lago of the Teresina mission were there at Sacrament meeting with us. We took a bunch of pictures cuz it was so rare.

Araguaina is awesome! It´s the nicest area I`ve been in and also the cheapest. Everyone here already knows me because of that Facebook post haha
