WEEK 41: Araguaína Shenanigans

TUESDAY Yesterday for Pday we hit up the bowling alley and MAN was it heavenly to be back in bowling shoes. It's been far too long. My game is way off but it was fun nonetheless. WEDNESDAY Today they were doing construction on a main road so they had it all blocked off. But instead of doing any sort of detour they just moved all traffic onto the sidewalk hahaha. Sooo I was walking down the sidewalk not knowing of any of this and Elder Franca yells at me to watch out. I turn around and a motorcycle whizzes by just inches from me on the same sidewalk I'm on. Welcome to Brazil ladies and gents. THURSDAY Not really anything happened today because everything fell through, so here are two interesting contacts we've had recently. - The other day we were walking around and saw a man trying to push his car up the driveway. We ran over to help him and after we pushed it up we shared a little bit with about what our work is here in Brazil. Something seemed a little...

WEEK 40: 20 Years Old

TUESDAY The sun. is. hot. WEDNESDAY We had a family night at a part-member family's house. The spiritual thought went really well. It was mostly about the importance of families; how each of us has a family to love, support, and teach us while we're young. THURSDAY We had been feeling pretty sad about one of our investigators recently who was progressing sooo much but all of the sudden stopped answering our calls and ignored our texts. He wasn't home anymore when we stopped by. Tonight as we were finishing up the day I thought we should go stop by again and see if he was at home. Maybe we could stop by and mark a time to visit again. We walked by his house and he was sitting in the li...

We have smartphones now that take way better photos so get ready for a BUNCHA pictures. TUESDAY Today for lunch we went to lady's house who prepared a HUGE pot of rice for me because I'm known as the infamous burger eater in Brazil. Sadly I wan't very hungry today so I couldn't eat it all and she was severely disappointed. This happens frequently. WEDNESDAY Looots of work today. We taught two new SOLID people and another one of our families has started to progress a lot more. They're planning on church this Sunday. Today the zone leaders took the 6 hour bus ride up to our area to spend the day with us. It was nice to see another missionary's face haha. They brought me a box from home! (THANKS MOM <3) and it had a step-counter so now I can finally know how many miles we walk each day. Climax of the week: I got locked in a bathroom today. At an investigator's house I went and used the bathroom and when I shut the door I heard everyon...
