WEEK 51: The Week Before Week 52
WEDNESDAY
The Lojas Americanas store next to our house has a deal for Kit Kats. 6 BARS for 10 Reais, which in american money is a little more than 2$...
6 BARS OF KIT KATS FOR 2$ YOU GUYS.
I was super close to buying all the ones they had in stock but realized it'd probably give me heart problems so I just settled with 12.
THURSDAY
We have a nice hammock in our outside area of our house and I kinda like to unwind on it and play songs on the uke at nights. I guess I was singing kinda loud cuz when I looked up at the apartment complex behind me a few people had their heads out the window just watching me haha. I had a little audience. I'll be taking song suggestions next time.
FRIDAY
We're teaching a lady who is wayyy into coffee haha so I went ahead and bought her some Cevada, which is similar to coffee but made with different substances. After we tried it out she was like "ya I can switch over to this." Haha that took me by surprise because she was so insistent on not stopping coffee.
I went ahead and bought some more cevada for another family and they stopped drinking coffee too. Not bad.
SATURDAY
Two weeks ago I went on splits and went up to Ocidental to spend the day with Elder Meira, one of our zone leaders. It was a suuuper productive day and we ended up finding this really cool lady and taught her the Restoration.
I went back to Luziânia and later on that week she called me and said she was going to get baptized! And wanted me to come back up to Ocidental to baptize her! So today we had her baptism. It went really well. We threw together a little musical number too.
In two weeks her son wants me to baptize him too. Looks like I'm getting more work done outside of my area than inside haha
SUNDAY
5 people came to church!!! And man was it difficult getting everyone there haha but it happened. Hallelujah.
We showed up to Paulo's house before church and no one was ready. Paulo walks out shirtless and he's like "sry we just woke up, I'm not going but my wife's getting ready" and we were like naaaaaah fam you're coming too. Lol so he ran back inside and put on some clothes then our ride arrived. They both were finally ready but I realized Paulo's son was nowhere in sight. He had just woken up and was like "yall let me know how it goes..." and again we were like nahhhhh fam you're coming too.
Long story short we arrived rather late to sacrament meeting but at least we had a bunch of our visitors with us.
